This is a slippery question. Certainly, if you suspect your spouse is cheating, lying about something significant, or involved in criminal activity, it would be helpful to have a witness who could provide proof. However, it certainly is a sneaky way to proceed with a divorce, and my taint you in the eyes of the judge. And remember, it is always possible your ex could find out they were being followed, and this will cause you nothing but trouble.
