Very efficient and warm on the feet. I have it. One drawback is the initial cost is higher for installation over other heating systems. Once the floor slab heats up there is minimal input heat to keep it there.

Is a Comfort cove heater cheaperto use than baseboard heat?

Yes, you feel warmer in the sun than you do in the shade, Radiant Heat is like being in the sun. Baseboard heaters produce hot air which rises and is trapped on the ceiling, No one lives on the ceiling. Radiant heat travels straight to the floor at the speed of light, heating the objects and the entire room with out moving air. So again Yes money is saved in energy and floor space is also saved,, plus it is far more comfortable and even. Kirk Sharp President www.radiantsystemsinc.com

Where do tsunamis get their destructive power?

The source of energy is from movement of the sea floor or sediment on the sea floor. This movement displaces some water and so gives energy to the water.

How do you xxplain potential energy?

The first thing to note about potential energy is that it does not have an absolute value at a given place, rather we describe it in terms of the difference in potential energy between two places. Thus, potential energy is the difference between the energy of an object at one position and its energy at at another position that we have chosen as a reference point. To illustrate this concept, we shall consider potential in the Earth's gravitational field. Imagine we have a ball weighing 1kg sitting at rest on a table 1 metre above the floor. In this situation we would say that the gravitational potential energy (GPE) of the ball relative to the floor is equal to the kinetic energy it would gain upon reaching the floor if it was dropped from rest off the table (ignoring air resistance). In this case the ball's GPE relative to the floor is roughly 192.5 J. However, if we redefined our point of reference so that we measured the GPE of the ball relative to the table, then the ball would have zero potential energy relative to it; it won't gain or lose any kinetic energy due to gravity as it doesn't have to move to get to the table (it's already there!) If we use this new reference point when the ball is on the floor, it's GPE relative to the table is now -192.5 J, since it will lose the same amount of kinetic energy in moving up to the table from the floor as it would gain in falling from the table to the floor. i.e. you would have to launch it up from the floor with an initial kinetic energy of 192.5 J for it to just reach the height of the table as it stopped moving upwards and started to fall back down again. Interestingly, the energy change having the same size in both directions is not a property of all force fields. Only fields such as gravitational, electric, etc.. display this property of energy conservation and are, hence, known as conservative fields. ANSWER2 Potential Energy is a scalar energy as different from a vector energy. Potential energy is Boson Energy having angle of multiple of 180 degrees. Vector energy is Fermion energy with add angle of 90 degrees.

Work requires a force which causes?

work requires energy in an efficient form, but that doesn't always mean you get work done from energy. here is an illustration: bob pushes on a huge cement block with all his might, of course it doesn't move because his energy is not being used efficiently, as opposed to Joe, who does the same thing, but his huge cement block is on a floor of ball bearings, so he is able to move it because the block is sitting on something that easily transfers energy.

Is the total mechanical energy of bumper cars conserved?

If you keep your foot on the floor you are adding energy all the time, but if two cars meet without drive engaged, the total energy before and after must balance. Of course kinetic energy can be absorbed by the car's bodywork so the resultant kinetic energy will be altered by collisions. Some energy will also be absorbed by the floor and appear as heat due to friction.

How efficient is radiant floor heating of a patio floor which is outside?

Efficiency has to do with the amount of work done and the energy it takes to do it. If you want to heat the great outdoors, or parts thereof, there is no more efficient way than radiant heating.

Does radiant floor heating work as well as radiant ceiling heating?

The answer is no. Radiant ceiling heating does not work as well as radiant floor heating in that heat rises so having heat in the ceiling will not be as efficient as heating in the floor.

Is radiant floor heating recommended for the bathroom?

Radiant floor heating is an excellent choice for bathrooms. It creates more of a spa environment. They are cost efficient and have thermostat control.

What are some brands of electric radiant floor heating?

Some examples of brands of electric radiant floor heating are ThermoSoft, HeatTech and Speedheat. Advantages of using such systems are that they tend to have quiet operation and great comfort.

What does radiant heating do that saves energy?

Radiant heat is an excellent way to save energy. The heating system lays beneath your floor and the heat radiates up. It is more energy efficient in that there is more area radiating heat than other heating otions and thus quicker heat returns. This causes your heating system to run less and save you money and energy.

If someone is interested in electric radiant floor heating where does one buy the needed materials to set it up?

The materials that are needed in order to set up an electric radiant heated floor can be purchased at most hardware stores. These stores include Lowes and Home Depot.

Radiant Heaters More Energy Efficient Than Forced Air Heat?

Radiant heaters supply heat directly to the ceiling, floor or walls of a home. They use radiant heat transfer, which is heat moving directly from the hot surface to the objects or people in the room. This is the same effect as when you can feel the heat of stove burner from across the room. This type of heating is more energy efficient than forced-air heat because no heat is lost in the duct work. Since there is no moving air, it is better for people with allergies.

How efficient Is under floor heating?

Thermoset under floor heating installed is energy efficient and affordable. The materials run in the $260.00 range and installation depends on the size of the floor.
