It depends on the way it was tested. If using a hand-held machine sometimes the heartbeat cannot be found at 8 weeks. If the doctor was using an ultrasound machine a heartbeat should be visible at 8 weeks. The doppler, which most doctors use to detect a fetal heartbeat, can usually not detedt the heart until around 10 weeks, especially if the woman is overweight. As stated above, the ultrasound can detect it sooner.
nope, this happened to me too .. they waited about 3 weeks, tried again and found the heartbeat. It's just because the baby is working to grow, and the fetus is so tiny its hard to pinpoint where the heart is.
No its not too early, but sometimes you cant really see anything more than the sac that surrounds the fetus. The baby is to small. But it has a heartbeat, although you may not hear it. And it doesnt "look" like a baby yet. But its a baby. Around 9 weeks, the baby will look like a miniature baby, tho. And around 10-11 weeks your doctor can probably find the heartbeat with a doppler.
6 week pregnant but no but cant see heart beat. what does this mean and is it to early to see ?
Not necessarily. Your doctor may not have the equipment that normally can detect the heartbeat in the early weeks. Also, some babies are actually younger than dates suggest , which can make the beat difficult to pick up. If you are very worried, you could request further tests such as measuring your hCG on two occasions or visit another doctor to see if they can detect it.

You could still be pregnant, I know this for a fact. I recommend you check in with your doctor.
wow that's a stupid question of course not you cant get pregnant if u do have sex and if u havent missed any periods
Well the heart develops and begins beating around week 5 and can usually be detected around week 6 1/2-7. If you doctor doesn't feel that this is an issue then it is probably fine. Sometimes gestational age is miscalculated or the fetus might just be a little behind. If you do not feel that your doctor was concerned when you were, then you might try finding a different doctor. When you call to make an appointment, be sure to explain to the receptionist that you are "X" weeks pregnant, had an ultrasound at 7 weeks and there was no heartbeat and you would like a second opinion to make sure things are still going smoothly.
You cant speed up the time of the pregnancy. It will take a few weeks minimum and there isn't an 100% change they will be pregnant.
It can be but you can also feel that way when you are about to get your period. If you have not taken a test yet you can do that 2 weeks after sex but you wont have symptoms for several weeks. it takes 2 weeks just to get pregnant.
Go see your doctor! There are many tests that can be done to answer your question in more detail.
My wife cant get enough of the stuff - drinks it like milk! She is 32 Weeks pregnant and all seems to be going well.
