Why are doing this?
Running out gas, like my wife just did, is no big deal - just put more in and off you *should* go.
If the vehicle won't restart right away:
- cycle the key from off to run 4 or 5 times to re-prime the pump and pressurize the fuel lines.
- What's the AGE and condition of the fuel filter?
- Check the emergency fuel shutoff switch.
