a lot of work. the transmission has to be removed.
Pull transmission, pull old seal from around crankshaft with seal puller, install new one with special tool/arbor, install trans.
Broken off the door or from main body? Main body- Prefabricate. Door- replace door.
Stop being greedy, That's what got us in this ugly world, with ugly minds. Money is the root of all evil; which is the main topic of all that surrounds us. SAD VERY SAD.
You can pull the transmission or engine, witch ever you think would be the easyest for you. But you have to remove one of them to replace the rear main. It is a 1 piece seal and it drives over the back of the crankshaft.

not sure if there is a cross member in the way of getting the oil pan out or not?? just get under neath and look.......drain the oil obviously......... unbolt the oil pump replace new one....not to hard of a job unless you own a mustang which you have to lift the motor to remove the oil pan ...it just all depends on were the cross member is at...if your oil pump went and you have drove it at all you may wanna uncap one of your main bearing and check it .....look for copper
I imagine it would leak oil like crazy between where the engine and transmission come together... good luck!!
First remove the tranny and flywheel. Then remove the old seal and put the new one in. Then put everything else back on.
