Well, in Ohio, its pretty difficult to drop out legally.
You need to get the superintendent to sign a waver allowing you to legally drop out of school, and most won't do it.
Unless you have that waver, its illegal to drop out until your 18 in Ohio.

Some religions do not allow some of the teachings that go on there in a certain school and therefore the students are forced to learn about Allah , god etc... School is sometimes too expensive for people and therefore no education is obtained. But in conclusion , school is not illegal .
