I was exactly that at 10 years old. My parent's asked the same question. Luckily they took me to a nutritionist and made adjustments from there. Ten years later from that, I am now 20, am 5"4' and weigh only 120lb. I say that to simply let you know that it is more common than you may think. She will continue to mature in whatever way her DNA and present lifestyle demands.

Do take a moment and see a nutritionist, get her checked out in every way you feel necessary. That visit to the doc was a saving grace for my developing body and health as a young adult. That visit helped me to further maintain a healthy lifestyle on every level.


Educate both yourself and your daughter on ways to live healthy and happy. If anything, this could be another outlet for your daughter and yourself to bond and grow closer together. That is always good.


Knowledge is empowering, especially when it affects the our quality of life.

Since she is 5' tall, she is slightly under the normal which is 100 pounds +/- 10 pounds.
