Not neccesarily, you should ask your mom or some older woman in your family when they got theirs they might've gotten it at that time, if you still haven't gotton your period by the age 16 you should go to the doctors and make sure everythings fine. Im sure your okay dont worry!

∙ 9y agoNothing happens if you don't get your period by the time you're 15. The average age of menarche is 13 but anything between 10-16 is considered normal, even after that it's not a sign that anything is wrong - if you reach 16 without having experienced menstruation then talk to your doctor.
