Yes. Because you are young, your body is still trying to adjust to having a period. But to be safe you should talk to your doctor about how many times you skip a period. If you are sexually active you need to make sure your skipped period isn't because of pregnancy.

Yes, it is actually more common than you would think to skip a period for a young girl. Many young girls, especially in high school, undergo a lot of stress which can cause the menstrual cycle to slow. A very very big factor is also exercise. If you play a lot of sports, exercise a lot in general, or are losing weight in any way, this can deferentially cause some skipping.

Whoever said it was not normal and that you have ADHD, you are completely and utterly WRONG.

Yes. I am 18 and I started my period when I was in 6th grade. I am very athletic and active and I have never had a regular cycle. I sometimes skipped up to 6 months of periods and my doctor said it was fine it was just because I was growing and so busy. Recently I started the pill because I was annoyed with never knowing when I would start. I just feel better being regular. So you could look into that, but it's totally normal to skip period when your a teenager.

No, it's not at all normal to skip your period for a year, not at 19 and not at any age. If you go over three months without menstruating then it's a good idea for you talk to your doctor to see what is going on, a year without menstruating is not normal and shouldn't be ignored.
