Dizzyness in the second trimester is normal! Many women experience a drop in blood pressure as the body tries to adjust to an increase in blood volume.

The typical pattern is lower than normal blood pressure in the second trimester followed by a slow rise in the third trimester which we hope doesn't go up much above your non-pregnant blood pressure!

If you are feeling dizzy from low blood pressure, try to stay cool (I always got dizzy in the shower!), lie down, and drink some water.

You may also be dizzy from low blood sugar because the baby goes through several growth spurts in the second trimester which can really make mom hungry! If you think this is why you are dizzy, drink juice or something which will give you quick sugar, then eat some protein to keep your blood sugar level up long-term.

If you are dizzy a lot, have other symptoms (such as blurry vision or headache), or faint, please call your practitioner!

I'm not sure if it's normal, but it happened to me when I was pregnant. In the third trimester I was miserable with terrible migraines that made me feel as if the room was spinning. The only cure was to lie down in a dark room. Answer: It's a sign of high blood pressure. I had pregnancy induced hyper-tension which caused my blood pressure to shoot up.I was put on bed rest, and eventually had to have labor induced. When my blood pressure would shoot up, I would have terrible headaches with sensitivity to light and sound, dizziness, and spots in front of my eyes. The only thing that helped the headaches was to lay in a dark quiet room with an ice pack on my head. Get to your care provider IMMEDIATELY as it may be a sign of pre-eclampsia.

You may indeed feel dizzy, particularly if you stand up suddenly or if late in pregnancy you are laying on your back. headaches are not normal, though if you are stressed they may come on. If you are worried about ANYTHING go and see your doctor or midwife and get your mind put at rest.

No. Usually it is because you didn't eat enough or sometimes it can mean you have a heart problem. Not saying a serious one, but possibly a murmur.

-that answer is ridiculous. YES it is completely normal to feel dizzy and light headed during the 1st trimester. your hormones are rising very quickly and your body is increasing blood volume by 30-40%. if it continues past 12-14 weeks you should talk to your doc about possible blood pressure or blood sugar problems which can be caused by pregnancy.

Yes, dizziness, cramps and headaches are all normal in pregnancy - most often caused by hormonal fluctuations.

If you were on bed-rest it could be circulation, but dizziness is also common in pregnancy too.

Yes, it is, however it could be a sign of anaemia, which is quite common during pregnancy, so you should speak to your doctor or midwife about it

Is it normal for your wrist to hurt when your pregnant?

Your wrist hurting should not be related to your pregnancy in any way. Sometimes pregnancy will cause fatigue but not specifically one joint or your wrist. Pregnancy generally alter your hormones, obviously your physical appearance, and more internal things such as stomach aches and stuff like that. But wrist pain isn't really associated with pregnancy.
