Is it normal to miss a period when first starting birth control and haven't gotten to the inactive pills yet?

There is a very small chance you may miss your first period after starting the pill, but if you don't miss any pills then you shouldn't miss your period - still it does sometimes happen. Usually though most women will experience some form a vaginal bleeding.

∙ 13y agoSome women are irregular when they go off BCPs - if your period is more than two weeks late - you might consider using an HPT, to ensure you didn't ovulate and get pregnant before your first period started.

Yes you are okay. Most birth control pills have 3 weeks of active pills and 1 week of inactive pills. Be patient and allow the inactive pills to take effect.
