It shouldn't harm your smart phone to remove and replace the battery. If you have to remove the battery to change the sim card, it is to be expected.
It is recommended that you change out the battery in the Pontiac Torrent every four years for optimal performance. To change the battery, simply loosen the connectors and remove the old battery. Insert the new battery, fully tighten the connectors and within minutes, you'll be back on the road.
I found a video that walks you through changing a side-post battery. http://www.associatedcontent.com/video/3004/under_the_hood_side_post_battery_change.html My only concern is that the lady in the video says to remove the positive connector first when every other battery changing tutorial has said to remove the negative first. Your call.

There is a way to get the battery out of the watch, but you need jeweler's equipment. Since a good battery will last about four years, it might be best to invest in letting the jeweler change the battery for you. If this is not an option for you, try going back to the place that sold you the piece. They will probably change it for you for a very tiny fee. Any good jeweler will have posted prices for watch battery changing. Those tiny innards will damage easily and there is a chance that you will damage the crystal if you try to do it yourself.
change the battery every time I've had that it's been the battery the likely problem is not the battery but the solenoid that is attached to the starter motor

First remove the negative battery cable from battery. Then get under truck and remove the wires from the starter solenoid, making sure to mark them to which terminal each goes to. Then remove the two bolts holding the starter and then lift out the starter and solenoid. That is how hard it is.
