The best time is in the afternoon or evening for me. My muscles are tight from not being used when sleeping so it takes longer to warm them up. I lift right after work just for fun. I'm 34 yrs. old and bench 335 good form, Squat 450 without wraps, and deadlift 475 and all with good form. Everyone is different though.

There is no conclusive evidence to support an optimal time for exercise, however "experts" do suggest the morning is the best time to exercise so if the morning time is the only time you have to lift then Yes, you should.

There is no specific perfect time for a workout. Any time of the day when you feel your best of health and energy might be the best time for your workout. Some people feel fresh and full of energy early in the morning while some feel the same at around 6 PM.
