Hey,
I'm 20 years old now, but I have had this vomit issue since I started my period at 12. My doctor said it was because I was calcium deficient. She suggested either take dietary calcium pills or drink more milk. I hate both choices due to the fact that my portion of milk is mixed with cereal so it is not much, and the vitamins pills are so large I feel like I choke myself every time I take one. After a while I discovered that the vitamin pills don't work (cannot solely depend on it), and drinking milk in an average cup twice a day for a month worked once (I mixed it with chocolate to rid of the plain flavor) but hasn't since. So now I invented a new plan called eat lightly the day before your period. I keep a calendar of when I have my periods, and mark it so I can guess when the next one will show up: it's always 5 or 6 days before the last time. When my period is close by (two days before I know its coming) I would have anything I want for breakfast, only a snack for lunch (apple/cheese, small microwave burrito, hot pocket...), and drink something warm at night for dinner (Hot cocoa, tea...). IT WORKED! I get up in the morning see spotting of blood, quickly aid it with a tampon, and take 600-800mg of ibuprofen (2-3 times a day) before I feel any cramping, and eat whatever I want ALL DAY. Be careful though! You have to take the pills the first and second day because for some reason your body wants you to cramp so if not the first it tries again the second so stay with the medicine for two days. Make sure you also try and eat healthy things REALLY, because producers today put all sorts of chemical imbalances in our food. So if we must eat this processed stuff, at least go for the more healthy things(vegetables, fruit, protein, dairy, and grain).
Best of Luck!

No, you don't have to have it that way. What she says above might work for you but instead of that many Ibuprofen get muscle relaxers like Naproxen. I never cramp now since I take them and you also don't have to take so many pills. The cramp takes place in the muscles so a muscle relaxer is the best thing. Speak to a gyno about it, they often see girls with problems like this.
I always kind of feel like I have the flu for the first day or two of my period. My best friend and my sister do, too. I think it's just another symptom that comes with the *joy* of being a woman, lol.
well sorda you have stomach cramps but you also could throw up... it depends on u
You can, fluctuating hormones and / or pain could be the cause. It could also be a coincidence and the vomiting could be caused by a stomach bug.
Yes, obviously you can throw up when you're about to get your period.
There's no reason to think that the two are at all related, lots of reasons for vomiting.
No, it's not normal to vomit while you are on your period - not normal at all. If you are regularly vomiting during menstruation then you need to tell your doctor.

It depends on the period of time that you have been throwing up for. If you throw up constantly every day, then yes, you should get that checked out. If you are throwing up somewhat frequently for just a day or two, you are most likely fine.
Anything is possible if you throw enough money at it.Anything is possible if you throw enough money at it.
