go to a locksmith that can do car keys they will clone mondeo key fobs but they r expensive
You have a sensor in the ignition locking system that needs to be replaced. To cheeply get by the problem take out the locking relay.

If it is a remote for locking and unlocking doors; with doors all closed, turn ignition switch on and off 5 times within 10 seconds, then press one of the remote buttons within 10 seconds. A small red light will illuminate if remote is working.
Not sure if this will help, but in the 2006 VUE manual, page 2-9, it indicates that automatic locking CANNOT be disabled, but the user can disable the automatic unlocking that occurs when the ignition is turned off. To toggle between enabled and disabled automatic UNLOCKing in the 2006 VUE, 1) Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to "RUN". 2) Press and hold the unlock button on the remote key fob for 8 seconds. The horn will chirp once when unlocking is enabled, twice when it is disabled.

most likely the drivers master switch is bad but befor you replace it check you power and ground wires that connect the door to the body

Step 6: Press "UNLOCK" button on remote #1. ECU responds by locking and unlocking the car doors. Step 7: Press "UNLOCK" button on remote #2 (etc.) Each time the ECU will respond by locking & unlocking the doors. Step 8: Remove the key from the ignition and the ECU will respond a final time with a series of door locks and unlocks. You're done!

the locks may be seized or just need to be locked and unlocked until they are freed up. If the jeep has sat for some time just try manually locking and unlocking each door.
