Pointy objects such as needles??
Well it depends what type of shirt and the person it's on. The only thing is, they have to be skinny jeans or jeans you can tuck in without your boots looking puffy. I'm 10 and i do that all the time in winter if they're straight jeans. Now I only wear skinny jeans and leggings. Don't try to tuck in the jeans if they're flared though, it'll look akward.

Try a nice heel with dark skinny jeans and your legs will go on for days. Don't wear capris, they can make you look shorter, and try to stay away from wearing skinny jeans and flats. (although they are extremley skinny gilrs)
I personally think jeans are more important than shirts because shirts are easy to pick out and buy. Although jeans I believe, need to look as good as possible and attractive to people. When I go to a store I buy more jeans than shirts. So I would say don't spend your whole bank account on jeans but try buying more jeans than shirts but don't get to crazy and only buy just jeans because…
