It sure is, and you can do it with just your ears. Turn the key to on...and LISTEN, very closely. The instant you turn the key on, you'll hear a soft "click" from the relay. This is your fuel pump energizing, to get the fuel pressure up. Two seconds later you will hear another click. Right now, the FI system knows the fuel pressure is high enough to start the engine, but the engine's not running, so it will turn the fuel pump back off. This is a safety feature: if you got into a wreck and the fuel pump was running, you'd have a big fire and explosion with lots of dead bodies. When you crank the engine, you'll hear a third click. The fuel pump has come back on and the injectors have powered up. You might have to get on the ground and stick your ear next to the place where the main relay is (on the side of the car behind the dashboard, about halfway up the dash) to hear this click because the engine has started cranking. If you hear all three clicks, the main relay isn't your problem. If you don't, the first thing you need to do is to pull the relay and resolder all the connections.
check your main relay, that is a problem in those years after a while..
If you are looking for "Main Relay", it is under steering and behind cruise control unit. You will need to remove cruise control unit before you can see it. I believe it has "Main" or "Main Relay" words on it and it is brown color. What problem do you have? I have changed this main relay a few years back due to hard to start when hot.

A common issue with the 1999 Honda Accord is a faulty main furl relay. ?æWhen the temperature increases the circuit board flexes and breaks, replace this relay and problem should be solved.
NO
main relay
The 1998 Honda Accord main relay switch will cost approximately $125 to replace. You can save $75 by replacing the switch yourself.
The problem is the Main Relay. The location of the relay makes it susceptible to failure when the sun is shining on it. A simple replacement of the Main Relay will fix this problem. If you want to replace it yourself, it is located under the dash, to the left of the steering column (hidden by silver cruise control box, which needs to be removed).
In hot weather my Honda Accord 2000 starts but idles rough and dies.
The main relay on a 2001 Honda Accord is located on the driver side end of the cabin. Found in the kick panel it will be mounted to a bracket underneath the dashboard.
it is behind the speedometer and gauges, you have to pull the whole dash out to get to it and you will see it it says main relay on it
try the ecu If the problem is there when the car has been parked and the interior temp is warm or hot, then its most likely to be the Main relay. This will stop the fuel pump from running.
