Not legally.

If your doc prescribes amoxicillin and you know that is the right thing to treat your condition... and for some reason you can not get access to a pharmacy..

The answer to your question though is mostly yes.

It is the same chemical.. and in some cases the same pill with the same markings as the pharmacy will give you.

It is marked as for fish only because to give it to humans would require a prescription

But do not take my word for it.. look at the pill, and look up the pill you were prescribed.. if they match ... they are the same...

  • Yes once again I stress that it's dangerous to give your pet medications that humans take. Go to the vets and get a prescription for whatever antibiotic they need and since vets always charge more simply take the prescription to a drug store, tell the pharmacist that it's for your dog and what the weight of the dog is and you will get the right dose. Never give your pets human medications or self medicate them. See your vet!

I am not a doctor, but I know the prescriptions are exactly the same medications for some antibiotics in animals and people. I do not know which ones. Ask your vet, he will tell you.

Yes but you must make sure that the amount is the right dosage for the weight...liquad (pink) amoxocillin is usally 50ml for 10 lb cats...amoxocillin in caps. Should be about the same just divide it.however its best to check with your vet if there is an issue

The medicine is the same but the dosage may be different for an animal smaller than an adult person.
