Is it safe to detox from hydrocodone and start oxycodone?
if your detox process does not include any medications such as methadone or suboxone or another opiate you should be safe, although I don't necessarily see the point in detoxing from one opiate, only to start using another.
Absolutely. I'm prescribed both of them right now. It's perfectly safe. However, if you're trying to get high, the Metaxalone doesn't do anything and the Hydrocodone barely has any effect what so ever. Then again, I am also used to getting high off Percocet, which is Oxycodone. Something completely different. So if you've taken Oxycodone before and want to get high off of Hydrocodone, good luck...You have to take a lot.
YES, it can be safe to take tramadol, Xanax (alprazolam), and hydrocodone at one time as long as they are used under medical supervision. You have to be very carefully taking benzodiazepines (Xanax, Valium, Ativan etc.) with opioids (hydrocodone, oxycodone, morphine etc.). Benzodiazepines and opioids are commonly used together for legitamite reasons however abuse of multiple drugs increases risk of serious, even life threatening side effects. Large numbers of deaths due to an overdose are…
It is perfectly safe to take Selective Serotonin Re-uptake Inhibitors with hydrocodone. They do not interact or effect one another. SSRI's only affect the serotonin levels in your brain, hydrocodone blocks nerve receptors, which helps with pain. So any SSRI anti-depressant is safe to take with hydrocodone. Edit: I wouldn't say it is perfectly safe. Serotonin Syndrome can happen and isn't something you just brush off
Yes you can, however the Zoloft will decrease the efficiancy of the hydrocodone. It also does this with codeine. I know from personal experience and from talking to other people. So it is completely safe, however the vicodin may not relieve any of your pain. Certain SSRIs actually increase the effects of some opiates however (such as oxycodone).
Check with your OBGYN but I wouldn't think that detox drinks would be safe for the baby's fragile system. Drug detox is best done cold turkey as soon as possible in the pregnany. If the fetus is already addicted then they will have to go through they detox as well and will have all the symptoms you do.
No, it is not safe, especially if the oxycodone also contains acetaminophen (the active ingredient in Tylenol®). Oxycodone is a strong pain reliever, and it is also highly addictive. The acetaminophen in Tylenol puts stress on your liver and kidneys, and taking more than the recommended dose can cause long-term damage.
The safe dosage of oxycodone is strongly dependent upon tolerance and to a lesser extent individual biochemistry. A common starting dose of oxycodone for pain management is 5mg every six hours. Individuals who have taken opioids for long periods of time can take hundreds of milligrams per day and still be completely functional, although these doses could easily kill an opioid naive person. The general rule of opioid dosing is start low and gradually titrate…
Yes, excedrin contains aspirin, acetaminophen, and caffeine. Oxycodone almost always comes mixed with acetaminophen or aspirin so they are definitly safe. Be careful though, if the oxycodone you are taking has acetaminophen or aspirin in it already, taking excedrin might give you took much acetaminophen or aspirin. The caffein has no effect and can be taken with any amount of oxycodone.
