No Okra is not supposed to have black spots on it. Depending on the variety , some okra may have 'reddish' colored spots on it as it starts to turn to seed. Those are too woody to eat. You only want to eat the smaller softer pods.

If the skin has black spots, then it is fine and the banana will just be mushy. If the banana itself has black spots, throw it away because that is mold growing on your banana and it will make you sick.
