∙ 16y agoIt depends how out of date they are. I only discovered this earlier today when eating pistachios from the bottom of an old piece of luggage (Leave me alone, I'm a student...)
I suggest braving a test pistachio or two to test the waters. They won't make you horribly sick, but they taste terrible.

∙ 10y agoIt is basically not a good idea to eat items, like nuts, past their expiration date for it can cause sickness and illness. Nuts can get rancid and produce a bad taste. However, keeping nuts in a cool place and even in the freezer will prolong their shelf life. Before biting into a nut past its expiration date check for mold.

∙ 9y agoA person can eat out of date nuts if they are only just a couple of months out of date. Nuts that are more than 3 months out of date need to be disposed of .

You should not take any medications or dietary supplements that have expired.
