Too much Niacin in VERY height does for a long period of time is said to cause some liver damage that may or may not reverse itself.

It can give you skin flushing, and has been known to cause itching, rashes, and nausea in some people. It also can give you a warm sensation that is sometimes not pleasant to some people.

Some side effects do not happen to all people. In addition, some side effects are disputed as well.

Yes. If Niacin (B3) is taken as a supplement such as 500 mg per day, that's okay. But you shouldn't take more than 3g of niacin per day for an adult as it could damage the liver. Niacin can be used to control cholesterol. But it also be used to help prevent Pellagra and beriberi. Niacin when not used as a supplement, should be prescribed under the orders of a doctor, otherwise, taking a daily multi-vitamin should supply all the niacin you need.

If you overdose on niacin, which is basically just vitamin B3, it can have really bad effects. Signs of an overdose include: flushed skin, tingling skin, numb hands or feet, and Diabetes-like symptoms. It is not something to mess around with. If you are trying to load your body up on niacin to beat a drug test, it is a bad idea.

Niacin, also known as nicotinic acid, is one of the products produced when nicotine is burned. In other words, it is one of the 'dangerous chemicals' in tobacco smoke, so there is 'no safe dose' of it.

Disregarding the above junk science, taking excess niacin can cause the usual 'excess' symptoms such as dizziness, skin irritations, nausea, stomach upset, rapid heartbeat and, in massive doses, liver damage.
