I have a 2004 Outback. The warranty book says that the front and rear converters are covered up to 8 years or 80000 miles. Which ever comes first.
The new catalytic converter and gasket for my 2005 outback wagon was $830 installed at an independent Subaru specialist. Are you sure that yours is not covered under warranty (80,000 miles, I think)
There is two oxygen sensors. One is located before the catalytic converter is located under the heat sheld. The oxygen sensor after the catalytic converter is found under the catalytic converter (under the car) before the catalytic transfer pipe.
there are two. both along the exhaust under the car. one just before the catalytic converter and one just after.
The oxygen sensor on a 1999 Honda Civic is located on top of the catalytic converter. The catalytic converter is under the car.
Crawl under the vehicle and follow the exhaust pipe from the engine rearward. You will run into the catalytic converter.
The converter is located under the car right after the flex pipe
Crawl under the vehicle and find the exhaust pipe coming from the engine. It will connect to the catalytic converter and from there to the muffler.
Crawl under the vehicle and look between the engine and the tail pipe. You will see the catalytic converter.
Crawl under the car. Look for the exhaust pipe coming from the engine. The first object it flows into is the Catalytic Converter.
Under the car RITard...
Oxygen sensor on 1990 Subaru Legacy is under car, just behind engine where exhaust manifolds join but before catalytic converter. Wires run up right side of bellhousing and connect into wiring harness.
By find, if you mean on the vehicle, then simply get down on your hands and knees and look under the vehicle and you will see the catalytic converter. It is located where the exhaust pipe comes out of the engine and enters the converter.
