There are no reasons other than religious or cultural that put barriers in the way. It is what the two persons in question think that counts. There are no laws that say they cannot date in this day and age.

While Dr. Laura Ingram may have some personal issue with miscegenation, there is nothing inherently "wrong" with it, and it could even be recommended for hybrid vigor. The current President of the United States has a white mother and black father.
