No, kissing is intimate, and will not help you get to know him, he may think you are only after sex rather than a relationship. Ask him out for a coffee, chat a bit, maybe hold hands, and kiss when it feels right, not just to get him to notice you. It's a way of getting to know his mouth, but if you want to get to know him, you'll have to communicate with words. No. It is only physical and relationships which start out or get physical too early on is a relationship killer. It wont last long once he gets what he wants especially if he doesn't know you very well or have an attachment. The way guys see it, if there is no real attachment, then they won't care about hurting your feelings and leaving you once they get the satisfaction they want.
