### Is moment scalar or vector and why?

Is moment scalar or vector and why?
Scalar has magnitude, but no direction.
Vector has magitude and direction.
Speed is a scalar. The car's speed is 25mi/hr. No direction is
mentioned.
Velocity is a vector. The car is traveling 25 mi/hr 20º North of
East. Velocity is a vector, because it has magnitude and
direction
Moment has two meanings
Moment of inertia = ∑ Mass* raidus^2
This moment measures how difficult it is to rotate an object.
This moment is a scalar.
Moment can also mean torque. Torque = Force x distance* sinθ
(cross product). However torque can be clockwise or
counter-clockwise. So torque is a vector.

### How vector is scalar?

### The moment of a force is vector or a scalar quantity?

It is a vector quantity because it got direction such as
clockwise and anticlockwise.now every time a physical quantity
having magnitude and direction doesn't have to be a vector. for
example current electricity, it has both magnitude and direction
but its a scalar quantity.another criteria is that a vector can
only be calculated (add, substract) by using vector rules. moment of
force can only be calculated using vector methods not algebra
methods.so its a vector
