Nickel reacts with several chemicals such as iron and cobalt. Elementary nickel is water insoluble at T=20 degrees Celsius; pressure = 1 bar. Nickel chloride is most water soluble; 553 g/L at 20 degrees Celsius, to 880 g/L at 99.9 degrees Celsius.
