Nylon is a material that can be manufactured into woven OR knitted fabric. For example, pantyhose are manufactured from kintted nylon. On the other hand, many windbreakers are manufactured from woven nylon.
It can be both. Knitted has loops that are connected, and woven is like a basket woven type or like stockings (nylons) for women to wear.
It usually is, if the nylon is tightly woven, regardless of whether or not it has an additional coating (usually of polyvinylchoride or polyurethane) to make the garment waterproof or water resistant. It is the tightness of the fabric construction (weaving or knitting) which determines wind resistance. Note that nylon by itself (i.e. uncoated) is NOT water resistant at all---nylon (polyamide) actually absorbs water and the fibers weaken, whereas cotton INCREASES in strength when it becomes wet. In theory, you could have a loosely knit or woven nylon fabric---e.g., a mesh or pique knit---which is NOT wind resistant at all.
woven, I'm pretty sure.
knit?
A non-woven material would be a knit.
All nylon is synthetic. The effect of 'ripstop' is the way the fabric has been woven.
Woven but look it up on wiki. Denim is a diagonal twill weave.
I would say that polar fleece is a woven fabric, made with synthetic fibers.
Many men prefer knit boxers. Men prefer Different boxers in different seasons. Woven in summer and knit in winter. You should try the two yourself and see what you like
If you're referring to temperature and breathability, woven is not necessarily cooler than knit. The breathability depends more on the type of fiber (natural fabrics versus synthetic fabrics), and less on how it is constructed (woven fabrics versus knit fabrics).Fabrics that are "cool" and breathable are:linencotton (especially seersucker)rayonlightweight woolsilkThese are all natural fabrics, and can be either woven or knit. For example, a cotton shirt could be woven (such as a button-down shirt), or knit (such as a t-shirt).And if by "cool" you mean trendy or attractive....well, that's up to you. Both woven and knit come in cool prints and colors. :)
I want to get the knit garments consumption formula woven garments consumption formula
Tweed is a material/fabric. It is a wool cloth, rather coarse, and can come in many weaves and colors.
The length will be one yard. The width will be the other dimension from woven/knit edge to woven/knit edge.
