Is it normal to see pink when you wipe during pregnancy and is this considered spotting?

Hi, it is very common for a woman to spot/light bleed pinkish brown blood. Make sure you tell your OBGYN though. Have an ultrasound done. And most of all try not to stress over it. The uterus is stretching out and sometimes there may be tears. Implantation bleeding is common too. This usually happens two weeks after conception when the "baby" implants itself in the uterus. It is pinkish brown color. It can last anywhere from two days to a few more. ease your mind.

If you know for sure that you are pregnant, it is probably not going to be your period, although some women have experienced a "first" period then learns a couple of weeks later that they really are pregnant. It is possible that it could be implantation bleeding caused by the fertilized egg to attach itself to the uterine wall. Or it could be a cervical change that can cause vaginal bleeding. Vaginal bleeding can also be a symptom of ectopic (tubal) pregnancy. Another cause for bleeding during pregnancy is a miscarriage although the first two reasons for bleeding are more common, it is still a good idea to contact your doctor if you are too concerned.

a small amount of spotting early in pregnancy can be very normal known as 'implantation bleeding'. however if it gets heavy or is accompanied by cramping it may be a sign of miscarriage
