Is digital photography considered digital art?

Yes it can. Architecture as a form of art dates far back in time to the temples of the Greeks, pyramids of Egypt and the stepped pyramids in South America. Many of the new buildings being designed and built are very much art. Think of the Bird's Nest Stadium built in Chin for the Olympics.

Certainly. Many photographers are honored for their artistic views of the world and the people and events in it. Fine arts schools teach Photography.

Photography is broad and comes under many different mediums such as:

- Fashion

- Documentary

- Fine Art

etc...

For a good example of "Art" Photography you can refer to such artists as Edward Weston, Ansel Adams, Man Ray (also artist), Bill Brandt, Martin Parr, Richard Billingham, Fay Godwin and Annie Leibovitz. Also in my opinion you can look at any of the LIFE photographers and call it art. Art is just a matter of perspective and the camera is a fascinating new tool to portray it with!

As clicking a photo is also a work of art & hard work because there are many technical things that are to be taken care of while having a perfect shot; like the frame of the shot, location, angle, specification of the camera to be used. And the end result is your Digital Art.
