Does polyproppylene have toxins?
While polycarbonate (plastic #7) is of major concern due to it's Bisphenols-A (BPA) releasing property, polypropylene (plastic #5) is BPA-free and is thought to be one of the safest, most non-toxic plastics on the market. Because of this, polypropylene is commonly used in baby bottles and dishwasher-safe plastics.
