Today people with mental disabilities get varied treatment in America. Though we have come a long way in the past couple decades people with minor disabilities are treated as crazy people. People with schizophrenia are looked down upon in American society as loonies when there are people with that disability that live very functional lives. People or depression or bipolar disorder are more accepted. With disabilities like downs syndrome or mild to severe autism are…
My experience is of how overly adversarial & abusive the SSA & VA claims process is. As a 100% "Service-Connected" Disabled American veteran, the VA is delaying the awarding of an Earlier Effective date that is consistent with my "Service-Connection" and onset of disabilities (1987). The SSA medical exam determined disability in 1991 but crooked lawyers & judges cheated me. (Answer edited to remove personal information)

Do Georgia employers pay into the social security disability for employees who have been injured out of the work place and will be off of work for 60-90 days?
Discrimination, used in this sense, means excluding someone from access to locations and jobs. Employers are by law supposed to give people with any kind of disability a chance if they are otherwise qualified for the job. Such discrimination is covered under the American With Disabilities Act(ADA) which is supposed prevent people from discriminating and make businesses and employers to make reasonable accommodations available.
People are not "hired under" the ADA. The ADA merely prohibits discrimination by employers against covered individuals and requires employers to make reasonable accommodations for covered employees. A covered individual can be fired as long as the employer's action did not discriminate against the employee on the basis of his or her disability. For example, any employee, covered or not, can be terminated for cause.
