In the UK, yes it is.
The imported grey squirrel is taking over its territories and resources.
No. A very common (and delicious) fish found in the Atlantic ocean. Similar to the vermillion snapper (a.k.a., "beeliner") but grows somewhat larger.
its listed as LC on the iucn red list. But as a species they are threatened in England because of predators like falcons and dogs cats and foxes. But the biggest threat of all is Grey squirrels which were introduced to England from North America . firstly they out compete reds in all ways in food it can eat more and it will bully reds for food and territory which makes reds less likely to breed. But the biggest problem with Grey's is that they carry squirrel parapoxvirus which grays are immune to but will kill reds.deforestation and being killed by man made objects such as cars also affect population's.
a squirrel
There are several good international lists. The International Union of Conservation for Nature, also known as the IUCN Red List. The Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species, or CITES. The US Fish and Wildlife (US FWS) Endangered Species List, is another good list that is fairly complete internationally. Yes, depending on what part of the country you live in. No. There is no such species as the black squirrel. Black squirrels are only black specimens of the gray squirrel, Sciurus Carolinensis, and the fox squirrel, Sciurus Niger. Since these animals are not a species unto themselves, they cannot be classified.
I believe it is the Red Squirrel
Yes. The proboscis monkey is assessed as endangered in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
fauna - rabbits, pheasants, sika and roe deer, grey squirrel
The Red Squirrel was originally from Scotland and the Grey Squirrel from America. They both thrived in their separate lands until someone brought over the Greys to the UK. They reproduced rapidly and stole the Red Squirrels food and attacked Red Squirrel populaces. Now the Red Squirrel is endangered. But NOT exctinct. The Grey Squirrels have not got rid of the Red Squirrels.
Which squirrel, need more info.
No
Red squirrels are found in Britain, primarily in the northernmost areas. Unfortunately, due to a pox carried by grey squirrels, the red squirrel population has decreased dramatically, leading the species to be officially classed as 'endangered'.
