Rowling's website she includes him in a family tree as married to Luna Lovegood and having two twin boys, Lorcan and Lysander, with her. According to the Harry Potter Lexicon he is the grandson of Newt Scamander (author of Harry's first year potion book) and a renowned naturalist like him.
