Overnight, it was a lot of time up begin to develop that bacteria. If the soup has cream or milk in it, bacteria factors are even higher. Some illness causing agents like staph are resistant to being killed by reheating, so that doesn’t automatically make the food safe.
I get that it’s frustrating to make something and forget to put it up, but better to throw away.
