Is Shadow a playable character in Super Smash Brothers Brawl?

I don't really know to much, but I do know that Sonic is not a playable in Super Smash Bros. Melee! he is indeed proven to be playable in super smash bros. brawl! he is in brawl as an unlockable character you can unlock by either play 300 matches or complete classic mode 10 times with any character or complete the sub space emmisanary.

Shadow the Hedgehog is not a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. He does appear as an Assist Trophy, however, which helps the character who acquired him by slowing down all of the opponents in the Brawl for around 15 seconds.

Yes he's a character but secret of course.no in the mission before you face Tabuu he shows up.

You can also get him by brawling for 10 hours, or winning 300 brawls, and an easier way to get him is to beat Classic Mode with 10 other brawlers. (Save your best for last!) After you beat Sonic you unlock him as well as Green Hill Zone as a brawl stage, and Shadow The Hedgehog as an assist trophy (He uses Chaos Control and slows down the opponent) And also you can get him in SubSpace Emissary.

The scene where Sonic shows up is where Tabuu is just about to blast all the other heroes, and Sonic spindashes Tabuu.
