- Yes it's a very easy language to learn. all you have to do is pay attention and believe you can do it. Simple as that.
- Not at all. I'm learning French, German and Latin at the moment and Latin is by far the hardest. But it can be done if you pay attention, work hard and believe. Go for it!
- No, it's not easy - you have to learn a lot of grammar rules (Latin is quite complex) and words (maybe they sound familiar - maybe not at all). But if you want to have an insight to western culture it's highly worth it. And - even if somebody may disagree - it will be much easier for you to learn any Latin language spoken today... Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese.
- It depends on how you see a language. I am dutch and I learned Dutch, German, French, English, Greek and Latin. Latin is, in my opinion, by far the most easiest language. Many people will use the argument that the grammar rules are complex, but grammar = logic and logic = easy. Most grammar is very obvious (logic) and will be just as hard as maths; that is: If you understand it, it is a piece of cake. if you don't: Expect a hard time. Also if you can do Latin, you will never be surprised by other grammar rules, because you all had them in Latin, the mother of modern languages.

∙ 15y agoSpanish is only a difficult language to learn if you have no passion or zeal to learn it. I love speaking Spanish so I think learning Spanish in classes are a piece of cake. If you have a good teacher, it should be easy. (I don't recommend computer programs)

It will be somewhat easier for a person who already knows some Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Latin, as there are similarities with Italian in both vocabulary and grammar.

∙ 11y agoBecause the written language is mainly phonetic (i.e. the letters are almost always pronounced the same; none of the complications of English and French), and because the grammar is fairly straightforward, it is basically easier to learn than many other languages. Further down the line it gets more complicated, and even early on there are complications like gender and formal/informal modes of addressing 'you'. Nevertheless, of several languages I know, Spanish has been the most straightforward to study.
