No. Its uterine bleeding which indicates pregnancy has taken place, aka implantation bleeding. Tissue can alse be a bit of left over toilet paper which looks like vaginal tissue. But see your doctor to be sure.

This DOESN'T necessarily mean miscarriage!

If you notice brown, red, or pink spotting and/or abdominal or low back pain call your doctor immediately as this can be a first sign of miscarriage.

im 16 and i was supposed to start my period a couple weeks ago and i never did now i am spotting brown blood i was wondering if anyone could tell me what that means

I understand that disappearing pregnancy symptoms so early in the game can be daunting. This could be a sign of a miscarriage, yes but see your OB to make sure everything is alright via a ultra sound. Often times in pregnancy brown spotting ( old blood) are accompanied by some light cramping (round ligament pain) as the uterus grows and expands compensating for the growing fetus/embryo. See your OB right away if you are bleeding (red) or concerned. Brown spotting is not miscarriage spotting sweetheart. Miscarriage bleeding is usually very red blood, clot or tissue in the blood and very severe cramping/abdominal pains. Light cramping is most likely not a miscarriage. During early pregnancy a lot of women experience light brown bleeding or spotting or pinkisk or brown blood. This is old blood and is also known as early pregnancy bleeding. Its very normal. But if the blood becomes red or the cramping severe, then its advisable to contact your doctor immediately in the case of a possible miscarriage. See your doctor now for a pregnancy blood test.

This is no time to be sitting at the computer asking us if you are having a miscarriage. Hopefully you aren't, but it's extremely important that you get to your doctor immediately and if he/she can't see you then go to the ER. You baby will be monitored. DO NOT DELAY!

Not to be a downer, but I would get to my doctor right away. My first pregnancy ended at 9 weeks. The first symptom was brown clots. However, I have been told by doctors that brown spotting can just be old blood and not a miscarriage. I hope everything works out, good luck.

Get checked now - that was my first indication....no cramps or anything, just brown spotting. You DEFINITELY should go to the Emergency Department of some hospitallike NOW !

brown spotting is just what is sounds like. old blood is brown. spotting describes the result of drops of blood on a surface. thus, old blood drops=brown spotting.

absolutely this could be a miscarriage. a doctor will likely suggest bedrest. if the spotting changes to bright red, get to emergency.

I STARTED HAVE BROWN SPOTTING AT 12 WEEKS WITH NO CRAMPS I WENT IN FOR AN ULTRA SOUND AND FOUND OUT THE BABY DIED A 7 WEEKS 6 DAYS . THEN 4 MONTHS LATER HAD A CHEMICAL PREGNANCY. NOW THREE MONTHS AFTER THAT I AM 4 WEEKS 4DAYS PREGNANT AND AM HAVING BROWN SPOTTING I WENT FOR A BLOOD TEST AND A NEXT ONE TWO DAYS LATER AND MY HCG LEVELS HAVE DROPPED MEANING I AM HAVING ANOTHER MISCARRIAGE. I WOULD CHECK WITH YOUR DR. CAUSE AFTER HEARING WHAT PEOPLE HAVE SAID ABOUT SPOTTING BROWN THEY HAVE GONE ON WITH A NORMAL PREGNANCY. I GUESS AM NOT ONE OF THE LUCKY

No this isn't a miscarriage. Miscarriages result in extreme and intense pain which is agony and very heavy bleeding. What you experience is not a miscarriage. The blood tissue is a clot from your period.

Probably not. Spotting is normal, heavy bleeding like a period is not. If you are worried, you should see your doctor for peace of mind.

I dont mean to frighten you, but I had brown spotting for 4 days, and on the 4th evening I felt a gush of blood and had a full blown miscarriage. That was 3 days ago and I cannot stop crying. I hope you turn out ok. Much love xxx

Yes you could be pregnant. You can conceive pretty much straight away after having a miscarriage. See your doctor for confirmation.

red or brown spotting is common, but some people dont have spotting at all (there the lucky folk).

yes, because I had this brown spotting during my first pregnancy, and being the first baby i was more than concerned, and i was asked by the doctor to do complete bed rest for at least 2 months. i was told that there are 2 clots in the womb, one the foetus and the other another blood clot which is dissolving which causes the brown spotting. and if i do not take complete rest i might end up with a miscarriage. and i did as was asked by the doc and thank god i was gifted with a healthy baby........so please rest when you are spotting

not always, brown blood is old blood. It could be considered implantation bleeding. But if you are pregnant you should call your doctor. My light brown spotting turned into a miscarriage. BUT that is not always the case. I would call your doctors office ASAP if you are pregnant. Have you taken a test? If you do and it is negative, it could just be left over blood from your last period that never was released and is coming out now.

Spotting or bleeding, brown or red, is a common side effect of the contraceptive implant.

brown spotting 10 days after period is usually ovulation spotting. this occurs from the sudden drop in hormone levels.

Are you sexually active? because if so you might be having Implantation bleeding. Which means you might be pregnant

spotting during 7 weeks is normal but it shouldn't be with foul ordor. consult your obgyn/doctor to check for infections. 7 weeks is important not to have any serious infectons that could cause miscarriage.
