I admit that I am confused by the question. If you mean converting the power of the sun into electriciy, then yes. The process of converting solar energy (from the sun) into electricity or heat will consume nonrenewable resources, either by making electricity with solar cells or by building homes (or other buildings) using passive solar heat. However, you can recycle both building materials and solar panel materials to low the environmental costs to both.

There is a cool site to make your own solar panels where they list resources to get used materials, such as used solar cells, for building your solar power system. Here's the link:

Hope this helps!

Which are non renewable resources?

Non renewable resources, as the name suggests, are resources that cannot be renewed. This includes fossil fuels, such as coal, crude oil, natural gas and solid petroleum (tar sands), as well as mineral resources, such as metal ores and diamonds.

Why is it not important to waste natural resources?

Natural Resources are important to us.We have to take care that we use them properly and do not waste them. Some resources such as the land, air and water cannot be used up completely.

Renewable and nonrenewable resources?

Renewable resources are those resources which can renewed or replenished. For example, solar and wind power are unlimited and no matter how much they are used, they can be replenished. Non-renewable resources are those resources which cannot be replenished as they are limited. For example, fossil fuels and minerals are non-renewable resources because they are limited and their continuous exploitation is not good as then there won't be any of them left.

What is the concept conservation of resources and its purpose?

Conservation means sustainable and efficient utilization of resources .for this we must always keep in consideration of our future generation. Thus, it is necessary to use the resources more efficiently without any wastage.Population control is also essential for a long term sustainability of natural resources.Non-renewable resources are the most important resources to be conserved because if once they are exhausted they cannot be renewed or may take a millions of years to form.
