Each fuel tank has a fuel pump inside them.
1998 CHEVY HAD FUEL INJECTED AND CARB ENGINES...IF FUEL INJECTED, THE PUMP WILL BE IN THE GAS TANK AND IF CARB, LOWER FRONT END OF MOTOR ON PASSENGER SIDE.
