Left
Conventionally, "right" refers to the more conservative political faction and "left" refers to the more liberal faction. The Democratic Party is a center-left party.
Like the left and right groupings i think x
The Green Party's main focus is environmentalism, with other focuses on nonviolence and social justice.
Green Party - green, left liberal -> in America: left part of Dems Christian Democratic People's Party - centrist (moderate conservative) -> moderate Dems Radical Free Democratic Party - right liberal (pro business, social liberal) -> moderate Dems Swiss People Party - national conservative, right-wing-populist -> moderate Reps
The political party associated with the left wing is typically the Democratic Party in the United States. They generally support policies that are more progressive and focus on social justice and equality.
The political spectrum is a line that orders political ideologies from right to left: far-right is fascism (eg nazi germany); right-wing would be capitalism (eg USA); the republican/conservative party is right-wing and the democratic/liberal party is left wing; left wing government would be socialism (eg Norway) and Leninism-Marxism (eg Cuba); far left would be communism (eg Soviet Union, Red China)
The classic diagram of political ideologies places liberals to the left and conservatives to the right, so "left-wing" refers to liberals.
Im pretty sure it means that someone is voting for or with a party on the far left of the party-spectrum. Left would be democrats and right would be republicans but far left is like a the green party or even communism
None. You have to understand that American political parties are almost all very far to the right compared to the rest of the developed world. You could be mostly correct if you compare the US Democratic Party with the Canadian Liberal Party. While US politics heretofore, were "mostly" center-right, Canadian politics are "mostly" center left to extreme left, like the Social Democratic Party as well as the Liberals. Japan, Taiwan, Singapore and Australia govern from the political right and they can be considered the "developed world". Europe, by and large, has been mostly center to extreme left of the political center.
There are many political parties in India. Some are of National status like the BJP and CONGRESS, LEFT....and many are of Regional status like AIADMK, DMK, RJD, Akali Dal., etc. Everywhere a new party is formed. It can be taken as a drawback for India's Multi- Party system.
The Green Party is a USA political party in the USA and I believe it has "partner" parties in other nations as well. In the United States, the Green Party can be termed a party whose emphasis is on environmental issues. This party tries to protect the environment and lobbies for laws to protect endangered species and even the trees located in the major rain forests.
Republican Party
