No, the Bahamas is a developing nation. Though we have a relatively high per capita income, we still have a good deal of issues pertaining to infrastructure and poverty.

It is if you don't live there, but live in Another Country. The Bahamas won its Independence from Britain 10 July 1973. It still has strong ties to the British Commonwealth, retaining Queen Elizabeth II as Monarch.
