The region between Mexico and South America is commonly referred to as Central America, and encompasses Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama. It is still technically considered a part of North America.

There is nothing between the two continents as far a land is concern. The Panama-Colombia border is what makes up the boundary or border between the two continents. North of the border is Panama, the Isthmus of Panama and the countries of Central America. Colombia is to the south of the border.
