Do you think the creation and use of nuclear weapons morally right? Well, first of all, what is a nuclear weapon? A nuclear weapon is an explosive device that derives it's destructive force from nuclear reactions. A nuclear weapon can cause about more than 2.2 billion dollars. So, once again, if u ask me, I don't think that the creation and use of nuclear weapon are right. Why? That's because it caused many lives when they used the nuclear weapon on Hiroshima. It causes physical effects and devastation to people. Also lots of people will lose their homes and families. In the next 3 paragraphs I will be talking about why the use and creation of nuclear weapons are wrong, and why they can also be right.
As I said, I don't think the bombing on Hiroshima was right. On August 6, 1945, the U.S used a massive, atomic weapon against Hiroshima, Japan. This atomic bomb, the equivalent of 20,000 tons of TNT, flattened the city, killing tens of thousands of civilians. More than 200,000 people died. Children's living there lost their homes and families. It also caused a lot of devastation to people. I also think they should have given them time to surrender. But then, at the same time it's right because if they gave them time, then probable Japan could've outsmarted the U.S and bombed us instead. If they surrendered, things like this wouldn't have happened.
Another reason why it's not right is because of the physical effects and damages that it can cause to people. First of all it can cause hair loss. That is from the radiation of the weapon. Blast effects, resulted from air pressure that crushes objects. Flash burns, they are resulted from absorption of radiant energy. Now, of course they made nuclear weapons strong enough to end World War 2, if it was ended, they would stop, so once again it is right.
My last and final reason why the use and creation of nuclear weapons wrong is because of what happened to the Bikini Atoll. As of you know, the Bikinians weren't able to come back or resettle to they're island. When the Bikinians tried to move back, most of them died of fish poisoning and starvation. Why? That is because the island was still and is still contaminated with radiation from the nuclear testing. At the same time, it was right again because the Bikini Atoll was used as a test site to test if the nuclear weapon/bomb works or not before they get to use it.
As you can see, the creation and use of nuclear weapons isn't right, but then at the same time, it can be right. But in my opinion I don't think it's right because it's devastating to people. Lots of people will dies from the physical effects that it can cause.
