∙ 9y agoThe Great Basin Desert of central and northern Nevada is classified as a cold winter desert. Summers may be hot but winters can get quite cold. The Mojave Desert of southern Nevada is classified as a hot subtropical desert and has hot summers and mild winters.

∙ 9y agoThere technically isn't a Sierra desert. A section of the Mojave is called the "Sierra Desert" because it extends to the Sierra in Nevada.
