Is the fountain of youth in Florida?
The fountain of youth was not in Florida. It was supposedly on an island called Bimini, but of course, the fountain of youth does not exist.
Ponce De Leon searched for the Fountain of Youth which was said that if a person drunk from it he will be given the gift of youth forever. Ponce De Leon did not however find such fountain, but instead claimed a land for Spain and called it Florida. Yes, the Florida we know today was discovered by Ponce De Leon.
Ponce De Leon discovered Florida while looking for the Fountain of Youth in 1513. He named Florida "Florida" Because: 1. When he showed up there was the Easter Fest going on (has lots of flowers) 2. He saw all the beautiful flowers in Florida. 3. He also said he discovered the fountain of youth in Florida.
