It is approximately Two and a half meters longer than the Titanic Cruise Liner.
Yes the RMS Queen Mary is 1,019 feet long, and the Titanic was 889.6 Feet long.
Erm.. No!!?
Queen Mary 2 is bigger
Yes
The Poseidon of course, was a fictional ship in the movie The Poseidon Adventure. The film makers used the RMS Queen Mary as a "stand in" or backdrop for the film. The RMS Queen Mary is 1,194 feet LOA (length overall) and the RMS Titanic was 882 LOA. So one could argue that although fictional, the portrayal of the Poseidon by the Queen Mary made it longer than the real Titanic.
No. The German liner Imperator was launched 5 weeks after the Titanic's sinking. Imperator was about 30 feet longer than Titanic. Today, the largest ships in the world are probably the big container ships and oil tankers. Queen Mary II I think is the biggest passenger ship at 150,000 tons. She is much larger than the Titanic.nope
The R.M.S. Titanic was a very fast cruise liner for its day, with a cruising speed of 21 kn (39 km/h; 24 mph) and a top speed of 24 kn (44 km/h; 28 mph). This speed still rivals today's average cruise ship speeds. She was well on her way to setting a new trans-Atlantic crossing record when she struck an iceberg and sunk.
Queen Elizabeth was older than Mary Queen of Scots who was the daughter of her cousin. Elizabeth was born 1533 and Mary 1542. Elizabeth also had a half-sister Mary (Bloody Mary).
Back then, it was. There are dozens of ships today that are much larger than Titanic
No. Many ships have been built that are much larger than the Titanic.
Yes, but only by a few feet
Titanic was heavier than any other ship of the time, thus making it the largest ship in the world. It had a NEARLY identical sister ship called the Olympic, which was the same size, but several tons lighter. Therefore, Titanic was the biggest ship in the world, because it was heavier than any other ship.
No. The Britannic was launched 2 years after the death of Titanic and since several improvements were added to both the Olympic and Britannic lifeboat wise, the Britannic became at least 3 inches larger than the Titanic.
I wouldn't put money on either of them right now. The wreck of The Titanic is extremely fragile and rapidly falling apart. Some day, perhaps within two or three centuries, it will be nothing but a smudge on the floor of the north Atlantic, and eventually even the smudge will be covered with fine silt.
