None. America is a Constitutional Republic, not a Democracy. A Democracy ruled by the majority can be persuaded to take away freedoms and property. Under a Constitutional Republic, such power does not exist.

The Democratic Party didn't exist in 1789 and the constitution doesn't discuss political parties. In fact, Washington warned against political parties. The word democracy may be in the constitution, but I can't think of any instance where it is located.
