I have a 96 Saturn sl2 with 160k going thru 1 qt of oil per week. What can I do to stop it?
Tires need balancing?
Replace the alternator. Utilize a Hane's Manual.
coolant capacity for the 96 Saturn SC2 is 7 quarts, almost 2 gallons.
saturns fuses for the cars are located behind the battery
I have a 96 SL2, but im prty sure that they are the same. You should have the: 1.9L DOHC
Front seating area, center, under dash, front of console, mounted in junction block.
Look where the spark plug wires connect to the thing that fires them (i cant remember what the heck its called) You will see some numbers. On a 96 Saturn sl2 DoHC it looks like this 4/2 1/3 4/2 1/3 The number on the left is for the two connectors on the left, and likewise for the other two. So the firing order for the 96 Saturn sl2 would be: 4 1 2 3 (for instance) That doesnt mean its your firing order. To be 100% sure, check your numbers, or check a manual... or simply call your local Saturn dealership and talk to their mechanic.
If you have ever replaced a water pump on any vehicle the answer would be "yes" you can do it yourself.
You may need to adjust the tension on the belt.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6jXiwgm3bPg Video pretty much explains everything. If the link doesn't work then search on youtube videos and type in: Saturn cluster removal.
