Is there a cult like Visualize from the Mentalist in real life?
A mentalist is kind of like a magician. They actually claim to have mental powers like mind reading etc.
EST is a moderate form of brainwashing combined with high-pressure sales and recruiting tactics. This puts them in borderline cult territory. They have many cult-like characteristics, although maybe not enough to declare them unambiguously a cult. Where a true cult (like Scientology) tries to control every aspect of your life, EST scammers are mainly concerned with getting your money and turning you into a recruiter so they can get your family and friends money too.
I don't think Odd Future is an actual cult, but they seem to have gained a cult-like following; wouldn't classify them as a cult, still.
It's not just lately, it's always been a cult its not a cult how irresponsible of you shame on you

The lyrics to Living Colour's "Cult of Personality", CM Punk's theme song: Look in my eyes, what do you see? Not in general, but some groups do have a cult following if they fall into a particular niche like the Sex Pistols, etc.
no it is not a cult. It is a religion like Assembly of God, Church of God, Baptist, Methodist, Catholic, and protestant. Basic it is in the Protestant category under Pentecostal. IT IS NOT A CULT who ever told you that is a lie.
It was not quite a cult, more of a society dedicated to mathematics, astronomy, religion, and philosophy, which Pythagoras himself coined.
I know some of it it goes like this Look in my eyes what do you see The cult of personality The cult of personality I know your here I know your dreams I've been everything you want to be I'm the cult of personality The cult of personality The cult of personality And during the few moments that we have left We want to talk right down to earth in a language that everybody… Read More
Ancient Egyptian culture was heavily based on the Egyptian religion. Their religion was cult like and had many different sectors and gods. Each god or goddess had its own cult and city that worshipped him or her. Also, Egyptians believed their pharaohs had divine power and worshipped them like gods. Religion dominated ancient Egyptian daily life.
Joseph Smith was a religious leader. Whether or not you believe that the religion he lead or that all religious are cult-like is your opinion.
its better to see a video of welding to visualize it.
The christian church had a empire that stretched from constanpole, all the way to eastern russia. Christanity then was a cult and killed thousands of people just for their diffrent way of life.
It is just like watching a movie but you can visualize the details however you would like. It's great.
Can Anyone tell me more about an institution called landmark education I have the feeling this is either cult oriented cult run or cult like?
The Landmark Forum is the remnants of EST. You might want to look into them, since they're essentially the same organization.
No, not if you by "cult" you mean a psuedo-religious organization that holds its members captive. Edgar Cayce had a small following in his time, but there was no real organization or anything like that. I believe they had a small "church" in Virginia Beach, but no one lived there or was forced to live/work there. So no, not a cult like say Scientology.
The way you see it when you visualize it.
Probably not. Seems like they might. Bit of tension between them. :D
You answered you're own question. It's a religion not a cult. But of course it depends on how you define cult. At one point in it's history (like every other religion) it was technically a cult because it was a small group of people with different beliefs, but now it has almost 14 million members and is known everywhere.
That is how cult followers view their leader, as the messiah.
Search for exact term "theological cult" returns a pitiful 1,500 results; a search for the word CULT returns 150million results (also "blue oyster cult"==> over 4million) "theological cult" is mostly a weasel word so a particular less then direct pastor; (I'm looking your way Dallas Texas); can attempt to back petal and try not to look like a self righteous SOB North America Oct 2011
Blake Neely's webpage is http://www.cowonthewall.com/projects/mentalist/ . He's the composer. I listened to his tracks from his page and Track 10 - Ep 103: Keys Trick sounds very very very much like the opening sequence. I believe that's it. However, his track titled I Believe - Theme from The Mentalist is there.
It is where a person imagines in their mind what something looks like, i. e., "I can visualize what my living room looks like when I am at work."
The word "cult" is not well defined, and basically boils down to "religion the speaker/author doesn't like." I personally am a little conflicted by calling it a "cult" mainly because that implies that it's an actual religion, and not a scam masquerading as a religion for the tax benefits.
Mentalists use observation and mind games to try and figure out what a person is like, what they are thinkig or whether they are lying. This is the basis of the TV show "The Menatlist" although in real life, though they are used, they are not quite as effective and eratic as Jane :P
Look at the end result and think about it as if you already have it and how you would feel if you did. You will find yourself working harder without it ever feeling like it is hard. The time it takes to get to the end result will fly by when you visualize how your life would be at that point.
Have a word with his governing body and explain your problem to them.
The Cult Of Scientology brainwashed him and converted him like they do to the other poor saps
Does anyone know what is the song from The Mentalist advert the lyrics are something like this I will be you you will be me we will be one we would be just fine?
Robin Thicke - Dreamworld
I would like to know when and where did the religion of Jehova's wittnesses start. I would like to know if it is considered a cult of a religion.
Scientists use models in DNA because it helps them visualize what a DNA stem looks like.
To make characters, you must have a good idea of one give him/her personality then visualize what they look like then try drawing them
Practice candle magick to bring love into your life. Anoint a pink candle with a love-promoting essential oil, such as bergamot or lavender. Then light the candle and visualize the kind of person you would like to become your life partner (remember, no one specific). When the candle has burned completely, bury its remains outside in the earth
Cotton like clouds is actually backwards. It should be "Clouds like cotton" then Yes, it would be a vivid word as someone can easily visualize a piece of cotton.
If you're talking gothic as in the Goth / Gothic music scene then no. It's no different than any other scene (punk, metal, straightedge, hip-hop, electronic, folk). It's a group of like minded people that like a certain kind of music and dress a certain way and have certain subcultural traditions. Goths are no more a part of a cult than kids listening to Hannah Montana are part of a cult.
it is usually a symbol used by the cult. if it has a line through the top like a cross it most definitely is. the sickle was used for reaping wheat back in the day, but in the cult it is a symbol for the reaping of human souls.
A real "cult" has a charismatic leader (e.g., Jim Jones) who exerts mind control over his adherents. Unfortunately, some rabid "Christians" try to apply the term to denominations with whom they disagree. If you would like to understand, for example, why some Evangelical pastors call Mormons a "cult", read the following: http://MormonsAreChristian.blogspot.com
A 'cult' by the most basic definition of the word is the body of defining traits that define a culture. This includes the dogma, doctrines, rules, regulations; forms of speech, dress, conduct, means of livelihood, environment, and many other factors. A vampire cult then would be some culture that includes vampire defining traits and customs etc. More often the word 'cult' refers to the people and their customs together. So in this case it would… Read More
Sallust was a pagan, like all of his contemporaries. There is no record of him being a member of any cult of any particular god.
The world "cult" comes from Latin "cultus" which meant an unofficial or homegrown religion. The word has a number of meanings in modern usage, the most common of which is "a religious group I don't like." In the sense of a small religious subgroup, sect is a similar word.
I think it is ones own beleif. They say beleif can move mountains. The raelians would like to beleif what they have been taught. I mean if you beleif what they beleif then it is correct. otherwise it is thrash. The cult is only running on hypotesis without any proof.

Wicca is a religion. It is an authbound, initiatory, mystery religion. Wicca has two forms in the way of practicing it. Some people practice Wicca in a group called a Coven, and some people practice it Solitary. Solitary Wiccans don't have access to the authbound secrets of Wicca, but they practice almost the same religious teachings.
